European visitors should take note: Estadio Azteca is located in the Coyoacán district, approximately 15 km (9 miles) south of Mexico City's historic center. Take Metro Line 2 to Tasqueña station, then transfer to the Tren Ligero (Light Rail) to Estadio Azteca station. Allow 45-60 minutes travel time from downtown Mexico City.

Best option for international visitors. Follow signs for "Tren Ligero" at Tasqueña station. The Estadio Azteca station is steps from the stadium entrance.

Metrobús

  • Line: Line 6 (Rojo Gómez - Villa de Aragón)
  • Station: Estadio Azteca
  • Service: Rapid bus transit system
  • Fare: 6 MXN (approximately €0.30)
  • Note: Requires prepaid card

Alternative rapid transit option. Station is adjacent to stadium with easy pedestrian access.

RTP Bus Routes
